This is a handmade, hand woven, upcycled sari rag rug. This handwoven sari rag rug, chindi ethnic rug is made from old sari in India, Indian national wear. We buy old vintage saris from villages in India which are not used anymore and have weaved to a rug. It is not a thick rug.
It is a great, warm piece to add to your living room, kids room, hallway, or beach, or use it on the couch as a throw! Can be used as Yoga mat (Please be minded that some occasional beads, embellishment, sequins from what it was the embroidery of saree may be there).
Some uneven weave or size are evident as each individual piece is made by hand from scratch. Since it was a sari, some beads, embellishment may still be attached. Due to nature of fabric and handmade there are threads coming out. Each item is unique and none are alike. We attribute this to the beauty of handmade products, which makes these rugs special and original. We promote slow fashion and eco friendly living. Natural inconsistencies are inherent in these unique, handcrafted rugs
